Current Services

We currently provide nonresidential outreach services to the homeless, the poor,  people recently released from prison,  and those currently incarcerated. We provide:

  • Food and Clothing Giveaways to the Poor and the Homeless

  • Stipends to Indigent Prisoners

  • Free Islamic Study Materials to All

  • Referral Services to the Homeless

  • Transitional Housing Placements

Future Services

During 2024 Halal House, with your support, will strive to establish:

  • A Support Center where people can come to pick up necessary supplies such as food and clothing

  • Transitional Housing Support Services

  • Continue our efforts to establish Residential Services for our clients

Service Updates

As of October 2023, we have acquired the resources necessary to begin searching for a building to house our residential program for formerly incarcerated men. Please follow us on Facebook to stay updated on our progress. We appreciate your support.

Without your support, we would not be able to be of assistance to the community. With your continued support we will be able to expand our programming and continue to help people live a new reality.

WHO DO WE SERVE?

We serve adults of all ages in adverse circumstances. We do not discriminate based on  race, color, national or ethnic origin, gender, ancestry, religion or religious creed.  We welcome all people.

WHY DO WE DO IT?

Our services are not hand-outs. We offer people a hand up in times of trouble. Everyone faces some level of adversity at some point in life. Sometimes, adverse situations come about through our own actions, and sometimes calamity comes through no fault of our own. Either way, it must be overcome. Human beings must help each other to overcome the hardships of this life.

We are a grassroots organization. We schedule events in the cities of Shreveport and Bossier City, Lousiana to benefit the disadvantaged. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering with our organization.  We appreciate our volunteers and value their efforts.
